Not sure

I’m not quite sure what to think about the jar. It’s pretty and gives the look I want. It’s quite thin and gets pretty hot to touch with a 2-4 hour burn. I use coco apricot wax so that may be contributing but it’s the hottest vessel I have. It’s also supposed to be a 3 wick. It was way too hot and the melt pool was way too deep and there was quite a bit of soot with the wick suggestions on the site (I have now tried with 8%, 9%, and 10% FO to no avail). I sent in questions to customer service for wicking help and after a week I got a response saying that the gentleman’s wife uses two Ultracore 2.07 or a size up depending on desired flame height, which is different than what was recommended on the site a week ago (it was 3 Ultracore 2.07’s, which I know because I bought a 10-pack to try from PSCS for this specific vessel based on the site recommendation). That’s also different than what’s currently suggested for coco apricot wax on the site, which is 3 CD-4’s. I replied to ask for confirmation of what to use since it’s a different number of wicks and different type of wicks that was WAS and what IS suggested on the site, and wanted to know why they use something different than what they’re recommending on the site…truly for my own learning, I want to understand and want to properly wick the vessel so I can safely use it! I haven’t heard back yet. I know wick suggestions are a guide not science, and I’m totally fine with needing to try various things and have been experimenting as one should, but it’s also a bit weird that they use a different number and type than what they previously posted on the site and from what they currently have on the site. I really want to love the vessel as it’s pretty and I believe something many different types of customers will love aesthetically - if I can get the supplier’s help to get in the right direction I may end up there. I also really wanted a 3-wick vessel and if that’s not possible with my wax then I’d love a suggestion of what can be used in the vessel to take 3 wicks. Until then, I remain unsure about it. I do have some concerns about the level of heat of the vessel but hopefully it’ll get better with the right wick and wax, when I find it.
